Mobile Alert for Upcoming Competitive Exams with Collaborative Filtering Using K-NN

Abstract

Collaborative filtering is the process of performing recommendation system based on the user requirements for a particular service. It is a modern way that private department provides services for the public to improve government job’s efficiently. It is very important need to improve the public services for the social development for our nation. This system offers benefits to the public who needed satisfied jobs can receive valuable information regarding current competitive exams on the fly, easily and conveniently.With the advent of mobile network communication system, users have been offered lots of services such as ability to send multimedia messages like SMS, Video, Data files, Images e.t.c. This paper describes the design and implementation of a system (Date Alert System) that conveniently provides examination dates prior to candidates with the use of Email and SMS technology via their Mobile phones and devices. Mobile phones and devices are necessary assets, most especially to students as it makes communications and the spread of information a lot easier. The implemented system allows registered candidates to access their book materials, dates, including past candidates review comments, provided they are available in the system’s database.
