Abstract

Mobile and smartphone devices, especially Android-based phones, have become very important tools for people of all age groups, even for those with low literacy. In India, mobile technology has greatly improved communication and made it easier to reach people in both urban and rural areas. Agriculture requires regular monitoring of crops and plants along with scientific management to ensure healthy growth. Using mobile phone-based technologies, farmers can receive expert advice anytime and from anywhere. Earlier, information was mainly available for electronic data processing, but now, due to the integration of communication and information technology, a complete ICT-based environment has been created. Today, ICT has become a part of daily life across India. Similarly, tele-health services allow doctors to diagnose and treat patients who are located in remote areas using ICT tools. This paper presents the development of a special Android-based application designed to solve certain problems in both agriculture and healthcare fields. The application can capture images, audio, and video at the same time and send this data to a central server. Agricultural experts and medical professionals can then view this information, analyze the problem, and provide suitable solutions. The developed system was tested and found to work effectively. This paper explains the system concept, design approach, and experimental results.
